Top 10 Must-Haves from EQ3
The other day I was scouting EQ3 for a styling gig with a designer as well as for a few interiors projects for my own clients. The store in Toronto's Liberty Village neighbourhood was brimming with great new product. EQ3 hits a real sweet spot for me (remember when I told you about my EQ3 Assembly candle holders?). It's a Canadian company based in Winnipeg. Products are designed by Canadian and international design stars, and many items are made in Canada too. The design aesthetic is modern and influenced by mid-century icons as well as Shaker simplicity, but each piece has its own original integrity. Here are the Top 10 current Design Edit favourites:
Ok confession, the Chiara Lounge chair is not actually new. It has been around for over a year but it is a massive favourite designed by Berlin-based design team 45 Kilo. The chair comes in several finishes and a ton of fabrics, but this blond wood frame with green wool upholstery combo that I spied in the showroom is supercalifragilistic! Ok, another confession, the Lyla chair is also not new but this green colour was just introduced in Spring 2016 (and you know how I feel about green —remind yourself here and here).
